Learn how to sketch an elephant!  Connecting stories of Essex seaside holidays and the discovery of a mammoth bones on the beach at Clacton, Art Safari leads you into a wonderful world of elephants. Sketching, painting and imagining the pachyderms that once walked the beaches, this art workshop will be full of fun. As you paint you will learn about the differences between mammoths, Asian and African elephants.  You'll come away from the workshop knowing how to draw one the next time you meet one, as well as lively drawings and artwork. Elephants were possibly walking freely in Essex 20,000 years ago. But in the 1930s, circus elephants were brought to swim from the beach during the daytime before entertaining crowds in the evenings.  They parted the crowds and splashed in the sea with their keepers.
